Slack's
A number of contacts have recently been on trips down their memory lanes. This, together with several mentions of George Best on Gary's stream, prompted me to have another rummage around the attic.
This is my membership card from Slack Alice's, commonly known in Manchester as Slack's. Owned and frequented by George Best, the greatest footballer I have ever seen play live, it was a classic rather upmarket disco in which I spent far too many late nights and early mornings during the 1970's.
Here is one of the numerous floor-fillers of the time.

And no, I didn't have a Saturday Night Fever white suit 'cos by the time that filM was released Punk was smashing it's wicked way across Britain.
"Sexy....
Woman, take me in your arms
Rock your baby
Woman, take me in your arms
Rock your baby
There's nothin' to it
Just say you wanna do it
Open up your heart
And let the lovin' start
(Chorus)
Yeah, hold me tight
With all your might
Now let your lovin' flow
Real sweet and slow
(Chorus + repeats)"
