Fire-breathing Draken
Spitting flames, a Saab 35 (35556) Draken flown by the Swedish Airforce Historic Flight streaks across the sky at Bournemouth Air Festival 2019. Designed as a Cold War interceptor and fighter aircraft, the 'dragons' entered service in 1959.
The on-site commentary mentioned that the pilot thought they required extra concentration to fly. Whilst capable of supersonic speeds, they effectively used old-school cockpit controls, though these were increasingly modified as new technology became available through their service life.
