Crossing The Ford
Mrs BITH and Folly did a 20 mile competitive Sport Endurance ride last weekend up to the top of Salter Fell and back again. Here they are crossing a ford down in the bottom of the valley before their 1000 foot/300 metre climb.
For those who like horses.........Folly is a 9-yr old Highland Pony. She has been given a long rein so that she can get her head down to see where she is stepping. Laureen reckons she is also doing her Western Horse bit by looking at her back legs as well as her front ones.
