In one image, this week's Saturday Timewatch features two classic smells from childhood - steam locomotives and carbolic soap! Interestingly, both are still readily available, at least in the UK. Steam still runs regularly, both on our numerous heritage railways and also on mainline specials. Carbolic soap can even be bought from Tesco.
