No surprise that the Daily Doom got straight in there with what is going to kill us today. I actually had no idea Britain was having a heatwave until the pilot announced it was forecast to be a tad warm (34C) at Heathrow....and yes, it was, see next paragraph!
According to the BBC :
"The UK has seen the hottest July day on record, with temperatures hitting 36.7C (98F). The Met Office said the reading had been registered at Heathrow - breaking the previous record set in 2006"
I'm back in Blighty but there'll be quite a few more US road trip photos to post yet.
