Kettle Valley Railway

Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) near Kelowna, Brirish Columbia) features 18 trestle bridges and 2 tunnels, originally built at the turn of the last century, and rebuilt again (near exact replicas) between 2003 and 2008 after the Okanagan Mountain Park Fire claimed 12 of the trestle bridges. This steam train would have made its way through this steep-walled canyon along a railroad dotted with trestles in difficult terrain. Above is my photo of an old photo on an interpretation board showing a train crossing the original wooden # 6 trestle.

How I would love to have seen steam along this line. Sadly there are no more trains on this section but it can still be accessed as a cycle or walking trail.

(Apologies for short or complete lack of comments on your photos due to dodgy internet connections!)
