59005 Whatley to Hothfield 6Z20

Bardon Aggregates liveried 59005 named "Kenneth J Painter" working 6Z20 hauling limestone (CaCO3) from the Hanson plc owned Whatley Quarry in the Mendip Hills to Hothfield sidings Kent, for use at Tarmac Ltd (Ashford) Hothfield Works on 16 June 2014. There the material is crushed for use as a construction aggregate to form a solid base making up the foundations of roads. Wagons being hauled included numbers JGA RMC 17224, JGA RMC 17235, JGA RMC 17202 and 3370 6955 080-0. Built in 1989 by General Motors Diesel Division at La Grange, Illinois, USA it was last photographed by me on 4 May 1993 at Westbury (www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/9378185721/in/set-7215...).
