Rural Transit is a bus service that links rural areas with towns in Monroe, Owen, Lawrence, and Putnam Counties.
Do you need to go shopping at the mall, grocery, or drugstore? See your doctor or insurance agent? Visit friends or state parks? Make trips to businesses or the hospital?
Then this service is for you. A program of Area 10 Agency on Aging, Rural Transit is for everyone. Anyone can ride regardless of age, or disability. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Medical transportation and buses with wheelchair-lifts are available. Rural Transit offers Express and County Sweep services, providing you opportunities to travel between Spencer, Ellettsville, and Bloomington, Monday through Friday.
Call well in advance if you need special transportation or door-to-door service and we will do our best to accommodate you."
