Concerto

This image of the Millennium Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral was captured as blue hour turned to golden hour, and was shot on one of the longest days of the year.

 

The occasional early-morning jogger, night-shift worker and fellow photographer made their way along the south bank of the river as the sun came up, with foreboding clouds passing over the cathedral but parting exactly where the sun appeared on the horizon, casting a warm glow across the bridge and bringing out the subtle texture in the sky.
