Blackstone Valley Flyer
Since the P&W's inception in 1973, the railroad has always operated a nightly road train between Worcester, MA and Providence, RI. Train PRWO was the regular train for decades until the arrival of auto traffic for Davisville in the mid 2000's. Traffic had slipped and now only one train operates carrying all the freight for the Ocean state. Today the G&W operates the former "P&W", and traffic levels are at the highest. That being said, there is always time for a photo to record history. In the wee hours of March 28, 2022 train DAWO with P&W GE's 3904-4003-4005 cross the Blackstone River in Millbury, MA with 75 cars just about to hit the yard limits at Greenwood.
