For switcher Saturday....here is another scan from the files of Arthur Purchase of the Goodwin Railroad's operation of the former B&M lines from Concord, NH to Lincoln, NH . State owned GE 44 tonner number 2 leads one empty boxcar south running along Lake Winnisquam just south of Lakeport, NH on a hot July 13. 1979. Over the years I have seen very few images of the 44 tonner in service, and Arthur seemed lucky to get it more than the ALCO. The treasures of these old Bell and Howell cubes are getting better and better. Stay tuned.
