What a shame

I will be the first to admit that during 2016, we all knew that the P&W's days were numbered. Along with myself and a few others, we felt it was time to drag out the cameras and record some final history, at all costs. Over the years, we all treated great, as our bosses were decent about our hobby and never ever gave us shit about our photography. It was an exciting year for motive power, as you never knew what might be on the next train. I had bid the afternoon WONR which reported at 3pm, not the best for seeing the family. However it was the only thing I could hold without having to work days. As spring and summer arrived, and the days got longer, more stops were made on sunny days. This particular day in June, I had my friend and engineer Dave Horree off the spareboard with me for the day. Here we had just finished switching International paper in Putnam, CT and we spotted some holes in the clouds, so out came the cameras! This day we quite a set, newer SD70M-2 4302, B23-7 2201 and "Super 7" B23-7R 2215. Unfortunately, everything here is gone and retired as the 4302 was repainted by the GW and re-assigned, the 2201 has been retired and the 2215 has a new home on the CSOR . Today is a whole scene, days that I miss. P&W train WONR Putnam, CT June 13, 2016.
