Smart Spare
Seen operating a Catshill bound 144A is one of 2 'the First spare bus' branded vehicles allocated to the Worcester Padmore Street depot. It is 13 Citaros transferred up from down south (6 from Hampshire & Dorest, and 7 from Beeline Buses Ltd). To me, anything is better than the Fuchsia 'Urban 2' standard livery used by First in the Midlands, but I believe that on a sunny day, this spare bus livery is very smart (and photos well).
First Wyvern's LK07 CCF (64033) is seen departing the Webbs of Wychbold stop, while operating a 144A towards Catshill. The 144/144A operate up to every 15 minutes between Worcester and Catshill, with an extension to Birmingham up to every 30 mins. Only the 'A' variations of the route enters the Webbs Grounds, giving a 30 minute frequency. However, the 144 passes on the Worcester Road (A38), an extra minute or two walk from the shelter on the grounds, dependent upon your walking speed.
LK07CCF was new in May 2007 to First Beeline, for use on their 7series to Heathrow. The 7 Series was upgraded to Volvo 7900H's in early 2014, removing the Citaros from there. It is a Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaro.
