Convergence in Cordoba

The arches of Cordoba stretch off almost into a vanishing point.

The Mezquita, a former mosque from medieval times and one of the world's greatest, now a cathedral with it's Islamic features still remaining, but not conflicting with it's Christian aspects. The scale of it's halls is impressive, it's almost like it's bigger on the inside!

It is a place where lines of arches and columns converge in a hypnotic play of perspective. It is also where religions converged and coexisted-both in this mosque and the city of Cordoba itself.
