M31 Andromeda Galaxy

Iconic M31 in only a 5.2hr LRGB with my new ML16200 and (old) APM-Riccardi 0.75x focal reducer / field flattener. I had intended on getting another night or two this weekend but a big storm is coming through NorCal so this one night is probably going to be it for data on M31.

10/18/17: Flipped from North-Up to North-Down for better framing. After querying on CN, this orientation has M31's nearest edge at the bottom and in the apparent foreground (based on obscuration of the dust lanes in the far edge). In this orientation, the rotation is CCW (from another CN response).

Scope used and reducer: APM LZOS 130/780 f/6 CNC II (Riccardi Model 0.75FR FF)

Mount Used: Takahashi EM-200 Temma2

Camera Used: FLI Microline ML16200 and Astrodon Gen2E LRGB

ISO/Exposure: L: 16*10min; RGB:15*10min(unbinned); Total 5.2 hours

Location: D.A.R.C. Obs, Mercey Hot Springs, CA 10/1/16

Seeing 1-10: 8 (SQM=21.4)
