Today's OARCB (old ass rivet counter boomer) mundane high sun, silver box, gravel pile, leaning, wirey wedgie. I must say I miss shooting the UP. Let me rectify that somewhat today. (My #1 New Year's resolution is to shoot more UP this year. Wish me luck!)
So the Wayback machine is set to September 13, 1992. The place, milepost 405, east of Hoya, Nevada on the UP's LA&SL. The time, 12:01pm. A railroad so boring and isolated no reasonable author will ever write a book on it. Not if they want to sell more than six copies.
I do wonder if that's the old right of way on the other side of the wash. Sadly I'm sure no one alive today can answer that question😥.
