KHP Class Outside Ultimate Frisbee-12

Several of the university’s Life Fitness Program courses had the opportunity to move class outdoors during some of February’s warmer-than-typical days this year. Pictured are students in the Spring 2018 Ultimate Frisbee course, playing outdoors for the first time when highs reached the upper 70s on Feb. 20.

The Life Fitness Program is offered to students in all majors through the UK College of Education Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion. Students have the opportunity to learn individual and team sports skills and/or improve their level of fitness.

Currently 27 different courses are offered each year and over 1,200 students participate in the program. The classes are taught by faculty members in the Kinesiology and Health Promotion Department and graduate teaching assistants who possess expertise
