Chanute Hang Glider Plaque, ca. 1970s
Plaque commemorating Octave Chanute's flight in 1896. The plaque's inscription reads, "Chanute, a Railroad Engineer who resided in Chicago in the late 1800s was one of those who inspired the Wright Brothers." The plaque also has a small model of the glider.
