66150 - Reading
Easing out of Reading, 66150 brings up the rear of 1Z20 Onllwyn Washery to London Paddington.
The tour was UK Railtours "The Valley of the Witch", which ran as 1Z19 from London Paddington to Onllwyn Washery. The route was along the GWML, via Bristol Parkway, the Severn Tunnel and Cardiff towards the first reversal at Tondu on the Garw Loop. From there it ran via the freight only line direct into Margam Yard, and then back onto the mainline through Port Talbot and then onto freight only lines to Swansea Burrows for another reversal. The tour then headed up into the valleys to Onllwyn Washery.
A change of headcode saw the tour become 1Z20 Onllwyn Washery to London Paddington. Heading back down the valleys to Neath, another reversal was had to then reach Cwmgwrach before heading back to Swansea Burrows for yet another reversal. From there, it ran to Llanelli via Felin Fran, for the last reversal. The tour then heading back to Paddington, first by going through the reception sidings for Trostre Steelworks and then back through Felin Fran to Briton Ferry. From there, it retraced its route back through the Severn Tunnel.
