47727 - Eastleigh

With an ex-SWT slamdoor set in tow, 47727 "Rebecca" waits to leave Eastleigh with 5Z47 Eastleigh RC to Marchwood MOD.

 

The working was to collect crash damages Class 508 vehicles, which had been involved in a shunting mishap at Birkenhead Depot. The slamdoor unit was being used as brakeforce, with a pair of barrier vehicles out of shot at the other end.

 

For reference the unit numbers were:

- MBSO 62207 & TSO 70897 from 4-VEP (42)3536

 

With these Class 508 coaches collected at Marchwood:

 

- BDMSO 64734 from 508143
