El Capitan-Agathia Peak UT

It became known as the "place of wool and hair" because animal hides were traditionally scraped against the rock by the native Navajo Indian Tribe. It was later nicknamed "El Capitan" because of the way the rock formation commands the entrance to Monument Valley.
