Ricoh FF 90

Another plastic orphan camera! This is the Ricoh FF 90, that is very interesting, if not to look at. The camera is ugly and dated, but the top part is dominated by a super size LCD, the biggest I 've seen in a compact camera. Next to it are the command buttons and you´ve got plenty to play with. This is a program only camera, with a super sharp 5 element Rikenon 35/2,8 lens. However, you do get to manually choose your ISO or let the DX coding work for you. Also, the LCD screens informs you of how many exposures has the film that you loaded into the camera, very neat. The camera accepts films all the way to 3.200 ISO, don't ask me how. You also get exposure compensation of +2 ev, battery status, self-timer and what you want to see in that huge LCD.

The viewfinder is quite ok for such a camera, you get LED lit icons to tell you where the camera has focused, as well as the AF and parallax marks. The worst thing is the noise of the winder, like in most cameras of this era, but at least, the camera lets the tip of the film when rewinding, nice touch. Although beaten, I am really curious about this FF 90, I really have a feeling about that lens!
