Leica CM
This is the only more or less salvageable negative from a botched Fuji Superia Reala 100 film. A friend of mine, with 30 years of commercial experience in the film business screw up big time with my film. No worries though, it can happen to anyone and it wasn’t an important film, it was my attempt to like the Leica CM and that was accomplished.
Apart from an irritating slowness in everything, from start up to the AF system, the Leica CM is very precise and refined. It is a shame that the film got destroyed, this pic was taken at full aperture (f2.4) and I must vow to Leica’s know-how in lenses. The Summarit 40/2.4 is capable of the same results (if not better) of any of my 50 mm SLR lenses, let alone the rangefinder ones. Even with a botched processing with light leaks, grain and lack of chemistry, the resolution really impresses. I am looking forward to see the results with a normal processing, this B&W conversion was indispensable since the colors are wrong due to that ill-fatted film processing.
