FED 3 (Type 1b)
Yes, it is raining FEDs where I live! Three new FEDs in 3 weeks and for a fiver, lens included. This one was seized, including the Jupiter 8. After some attention the lens is now free and everything works as it should. This model was in production for 2 years and no more than 200.000 units were produced, a drop of rain in the Soviet photographic sea! This is the last good looking FED, not that the normal 3 is very ugly, but this one still has that Leicaesque air. The viewfinder is small and dim as ever, but it isn't as noisy as the Zorki 4. Scorned by the photo gurus, now these cameras have that timeless air of a bygone instrument. I wonder if i 50 years time our digiwonders will have this look and feeling.
