Contax T2
AF successor to the legendary Contax T rangefinder, the T2 is an outstanding camera. The design is fantastic, the finish second to none. It is not very compact, and the titanium construction is not reflected in its weight, this is a heavy camera. The camera is remarkable similar to the Nikon 35ti in terms of feeling and solidity, a serious tool.
The sapphire glass viewfinder is nice and has enough info, like shutter speeds, exposure compensation, focus confirmation and manual focus aids. Yep, you can manually focus this AF camera with the knob on the top, simple, just turn the knob in the direction of the arrow inside the viewfinder until the green led lights up, brilliantly simple. Of course, the camera sports aperture priority mode and program mode. The aperture ring in the lens barrel is a lesson in smoothness and precision.
The lens is the beautiful Carl Zeiss Sonnar 38/2,8 with the T* coating, no need to explain you how lethal this glass is.
I do miss Contax in the digital world, I still think there is a market for a legend.
