Lively Launch

C-GSBA, a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, climbing out from runway 33 at Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport in

Markham, Ontario. It was departing to Brechin, Ontario.

 

Serial number 690 has been modified by Sealand Aviation Ltd. of Campbell River, British Columbia. It is now powered by a RED A03 piston engine produced by Raikhlin aircraft Engine Developments GmbH (doing business as RED Aircraft) of Adenau, Germany.

The V-12 powerplant produces 550 horsepower and runs on diesel or Jet-A fuel. It first flew in this configuration on February 23, 2023.

This aircraft began its career as 53-3732 with the United States Army on September 1, 1954.
