ZZ174, a Boeing C-17A Globemaster III, on approach to runway 24R at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario. It was arriving as RRR6642 (Royal Air Force) from its base at RAF Brize Norton near Carterton, England.
The next day it flew west from Toronto to Winnipeg, Manitoba, then headed east to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The day after that, it returned home to Brize Norton.
The Royal Air Force's eight C-17As are operated by 99 Squadron. On August 26, 2001, ZZ174 (serial number F-081) became the fourth example to be delivered to the RAF.
