Larch Valley Lookout

The view of Larch Valley from a little ways up Mt. Temple from Sentinel Pass.

We had only just begun our ascent of the actual mountain and my friend and I needed a break. Hey, mountain climbing is tiring!

So I snapped a photo of him looking out to where we had been only about half an hour ago.

A bunch of the famous Ten Peaks have their lofty summits shrouded in clouds, yet we had our own little sun patch for a large portion of the way up Mt. Temple.

The larches are still not yellow yet, although I saw a few branches starting to turn, so you might want to make plans to head out there in a few weeks to get the gorgeous, yellow larches at their prime!

I hope you like this one :)
