Reborn...From Caterpillar to Butterfly
This Monarch butterfly had just emerged from its chrysalis and was slowly adapting to its new incarnation. It hadn't yet tried its wings and was still grasping its empty chrysalis. This was the first of five butterflies to emerge; all five located near or on our back porch, where I could easily monitor their development. The last of the five emerged three days ago.
