Canopy Cathedral Treehouse
This full scaled tree house, one of three at Longwood Gardens, gets its name from the canopy of trees above the structure and also from the vast cathedral style ceiling. The architecture is reminiscent of Scandinavian architecture, with a large open space separated into "rooms" by wooden posts. Windows throughout let in sunshine and offer wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. A carved wooden dragon guards the landing on the exterior staircase, and an identical dragon guards the entryway. Of the three tree houses at Longwood Gardens this one is my favorite. Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
