On a recent visit to Ocean City, Maryland we stayed in an oceanfront hotel that has the most remarkable indoor atrium. The atrium is large, with a large koi pond that winds it way along the length of the room. The pond is surrounded with tropical plants, three live macaws, and this beautiful Amazon parrot. The macaws, while beautiful, merely squawked now and then, but this parrot talked. His vocabulary consists of "hello" and " where ya goin?" I really like this parrot, and had fun chatting with him several years ago when we stayed at the same hotel. They used to have the birds' names on their cages, but the name tags are now gone, replaced with warnings about feeding or touching the birds. If I remember correctly, on our previous visit this parrot's name was Charlie. Ocean City, Maryland.
