Unexpected
The last place (and time) I thought we would see bighorn sheep in Custer State Park would be along the main highway through the park in late afternoon. Looking back on it now it kind of makes sense as the road parallels a small creek with plenty of grasses and other plants to munch on. There was a small "sheep jam" as cars stopped to take a look. Me being me, I pulled over, got out of our car and sat down along the shoulder, shooting between the cars as they passed. At one point something spooked the small herd and all six bighorns came trotting right towards where I was sitting - a bit of an adrenalin rush! There were no rams , but this pretty ewe made up for their absence. I chose black and white because the mid-day light was a tad harsh.
Have a Blessed Sunday!
My sincere thanks to all who spend the time to view, like or comment on my photos. It is much appreciated!
