I've been on a bit of a Yellowstone kick of late as I'm starting to plan our trips for 2016. One of my favorite features at Yellowstone (so far) is the Grand Prismatic Spring. The sheer immensity of the spring coupled with its vivid colors make it a must see in the park. There is a boardwalk that allows visitors to experience it up close and personal, but I believe it is best viewed from above. We hiked a trail that leads to an overlook which allows you to see the spring in all its colorful glory. The abstract patterns of the rust colored bacteria and the shades of blue in the water are just breathtaking! Such an amazing place!
