This picture of Prabha who was so kind to model for us, was taken on the first day of my September 2009 2-day London workshop.
After the theoretical part I like to take the participant through the whole picture making process. I could do this by showing an example that I know how to do, but I'd rather go for the real deal, including the mistakes I make to get to a picture. So I let the participants give me an assignment and then do my best to make the requested photo. Here they asked me to do an ad for glasses. We decided to go for this "you better wear good glasses to avoid strange things from happening" idea.
LIGHTING INFO:
I exposed and set the white balance for a night look (it was the middle of the day). We lit Prabha with an orange gelled speedlight and an umbrella from above.
