Frankfurt - GERMANY
I was asked to head the first Frankfurt Strobist meetup and help out with lighting. I'd like to thank everyone for hiring me and giving me such a pleasant stay.
Long before David Hobby challenged meetup groups to do a groupshot I was planning to do a groupshot. We had to do this one in a few minutes so it isn't as perfect as I would have liked, but I think it still is ok.
TECHNICAL INFO:
We made a camera boomstand out of a tripod, a ladder, 6 bottles of water and half a roll of gaffer tape. That way we could hang a 1Ds mkII with a 15mm fisheye above our heads.
For lighting we used 20 flashes, yep that's right TWENTY flashes. All flashes were set to 1/16 and triggered by 20 of the new wireless BIOwizards aka everyone triggered his flash manually. We could get away with the manual flash thing by setting a shutterspeed of 1 second.
