Who says school can't be fun? This month's CCC was 2nd grade Ellis Island. It is one of the coolest experiences I have had in education. The kiddo's dress up, they are in families, they come have to go through the stations (checking in, hearing/vision tests, doctor visits, ect.). The teachers/parents (also dressed up) are very fierce, and in the end the students are allowed to come to America. The parents do all the decorating, it is truly an amazing experience that the 6th graders still recall as their favorite CCC! Reminds me of why I love doing what I do!
