Nudge Nudge. Wink Wink.
Back Flickring properly at last - and my usual and heartfelt apologies :( Photostreams will be enjoyed and comments will be left, replied to and generally done as soon as possible :)
This - to coin a phrase - is something completely different. Whilst having a lovely time with Lynn I made a few shots with a Yashica Samurai - a curious half-frame SLR I had bought for the price of 4 cheap films. I had no great hopes and sent the film off just "to see if it worked". It did - Brilliantly. A lot more from this very soon.
I should explain to everyone who is not British - a surprisingly large number of people - that the name of this boat is supposed to be a wildly hilarious sexual joke - "it" being a word of infinite meaning :) I don't think I have ever seen anything so achingly English (British is something more complicated) - and like all such jokes, it has a poignant quality mere tragedy can never match. I had intended to write an enormously long and learned essay on the unique sexuality of these unusual Islands - but I'll leave that to you, dear reader. This famous sketch from an ancient "Monty Python" (with Spanish subtitles!) tells you everything, actually.... :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCoj_Pt5jSA . Alas, it is probably untranslatable :)
Orford, Suffolk, Yashica Samurai, Kodak CN400.
EDIT (2011): Does this picture look too dark :( ? Please look here :)
