Long horned cattle

The wildlife trusts have established a few of these animals on the salt marsh between the River Mersey, with flats at Runcorn in the distance, and the Sankey Canal. They are said to like the vegetation and keep the grasses cropped to encourage small mammals and other wildlife as distinct from that attracted to the adjacent reedbeds. They didn't appear to be fierce, just curious, but I didn't get too close!
