The ramp you can see on the opposite bank was the loading ramp for the Arley Ferry.There are records of a ferry at the point for almost 650yrs .....from 1323 to 1972 ,it was used for moving livestock, locals and light vehicles .When the Bridge (that you can see in the background) was built in 1972 this made the ferry redundant .The last ferry was taken down stream to Bewdely where it was moored until 1998
