Cowan's Corner

Cathcart Square, Greenock.

Before the present Municipal Buildings were built here, the old town hall can be seen where the twin lamps are.

Cowan's Shop was destroyed by German Bombers in the WWII and nothing was built in it's place.

The Temperance Hotel was the first in the UK as Greenock had (and still has) a major drink problem.

Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
