[MOC] Snowplow - 60033 alternate model

Eurobricks and Rebrickable were challenged by the Lego group to come up with alternate models for the most recent line of CITY sets. I was lucky enough to get asked and received the set 60033 Arctic Ice Crawler.

 

It's a very likable set (nostalgia might help a hand here...), but 112 parts isn't a lot to work with, especially if there are parts that only connect to one other part. It definitely was a very interesting and challenging project, and I got the chance to get to know a lot of magnificent builders and human beings. So I'm really very grateful that I could be part of this project.

 

Anyway, on to the model! The panel really turned out to be the most versatile element of the set... not what I had expected. I came up with a rather nice connection for it, so the plow can swivel to push barrels and meteors out of the way. If you want to take something with you, no problem because there is room enough in the back and it tilts to fit your desires. It is also a great place to store all of your tools. So plow yourself a way through through the Arctic (main street in winter will do as well), and see what you can discover!
