Rainy Day Wedding (Explored April 10th, 2016)
I absolutely love photographing weddings! They are so fun and exciting BUT...what do you do when it rains? This couple was excited to take advantage of the mountain views and landscapes but the rain and clouds socked in and we used a covered balcony, their hotel room and a tiny feature wall for formals. I managed to pull them away from their reception for 5 minutes for this image while it poured rain. They are holding a diffusing umbrella and I have my SB-900 at full power positioned about 4 feet back, waist height pointing into the umbrella. This illuminated the umbrella AND rain with just enough light outline the bride and groom. Hope that info helps you, I'm having a blast with backlit shots like this!
