The Blood Alley ESB has a nutty amber colour to it with a thin but dense head. It starts off with a decent hop but mellows into a gentle nuttiness and an overall neutral aftertaste. It is the roasted malt flavours that seem to mellow the 50IBU bitterness. This is pleasant and easy to drink
