Lama glama, Nevada County

Sometimes when I'm out trying to photograph birds I come across something that reminds me just how difficult it is to get good bird pictures. This guy (whose Scientific name is Lama glama!?) posed for me and I just couldn't resist. Why won't birds ever stay still long enough for me to figure out the best settings to use on my beast of a camera?
