Those fertile fields are never far away
The band Alabama declared that "those fertile fields are never far away" in their hit song, "High Cotton". That song immediately came to mind when I shot this BNSF manifest train hanging out near Conran, in Missouri’s “Bootheel”, on BNSF's former SLSF (Frisco)/BN River Subdivision. This was near my old Air Force stomping grounds, and I had never seen cotton growing in fields until I got shipped here at the ripe age of 18.
