Black Diamonds at Bainbridge

May 12, 2005: Shipments of coal to the Jennison Plant in the background ceased by 2001 at the latest, but coal to New England stayed on, sometimes keeping railfans attentive... Word of a faulty speedometer on the UP leader prompted NS to set out a SD40-2 from H-10 and toss it on the point. This further enabled the light to swing more favorably for the S-Curve in Bainbridge, NY. I understand those who would prefer the classic consists but seeing an SD40-2 in front of Uncle Pete's monsters just seemed really cool back then...
