Hmm...where to begin. Last week one of my Flickr contacts (im pastor rick) posted a beautiful photo of a sunflower. I was not only taken by the pretty picture, but also by the "description" he left. After seeing that lovely sunflower I remembered my husband had told me about a sunflower field (actually two) that he saw one morning on the way to a sales call. The field is not far from us so last Monday I drove to said sunflower field and was blown away. I was able to walk among the sunflowers and take some "in your face" shots. It was a beautiful day ~ sunshine with blue skies and random big, fluffy white clouds. I must have snapped 50 pictures of the sunflowers. That's a lot of pic. And to make matters worse, I went back the following day for more shots. So ... what I have decided to do is make a little series for all my sunflower shots. I'm not sure if I'll post a picture daily, every other day, or weekly, but just be ready to see sunflowers. They really are pretty flowers ~ and they are beginning to fade just as summer is beginning to fade. I want to thank Rick for inspiring me ~ thank you, Rick.
Ohh...and today offically kicks off football season for all the colleges. Good luck to the University of Michigan*... my sister's alma mater (me, I'm a Ferris State girl) and all the other colleges in the great state of Michigan!
