drusy buildup - red & yellow flowers - 9 cm X 12 cm
I took this and two other specimens, with lots of loose stuff still coming off and some algae in the cracks, down the the local car wash and hit them with the power spray, soap and then rinse! This one looks a little better and you can see the red and yellow flower like formations that run through the middle of each of the drusy and boytroidal digits that are part of what was probably inside a large geode, before natural calamity broke it up a long time ago and burried it in the hillside, on the other side of the arroyo at Tapado. Collected in 2007 and one of my best ever specimens.
