A day off work, and with the sun out the world looked a different place. Headed out to Amsterdam to see if I could capture the GVB LHB trams in action. Linke-Hoffmann-Busch built 37 units of the types 9G and 10G between 1979 and 1981. They are commonly known as Blokkendozen ( Box of Blocks). A number of the GVB fleet was sent to Bosnia to support Sarajevo restore its war-damaged tramway. Today 13 units remain in Amsterdam of which some 7 or 8 are fit for service. Happy to catch no 813 on line 12 and no 784 on line 4.
