Middle of nowhere
Middle of nowhere, 40 kilometers west of Wroclaw, Poland. Remote-controlled long exposure, over 2 minutes.
It was so dark I could barely see my car from a few meters away, so I had to use a time-consuming trial-and-error technique (multiple 30-second exposures at ISO 3200) in order to compose this photo. The source of the orange glow is a sodium lamp 1 kilometer away! The Earth's rotation and the long exposure have made the stars look like bright streaks, rather than points in the sky.
